Dreaming of a White Christmas: How to Care for Your Flocked Snow Tree

There is nothing quite as magical as a "flocked" or snow-covered Christmas tree standing in your living room. It brings the serene beauty of a winter wonderland indoors without the freezing temperatures. However, snow Christmas trees require a slightly different touch than standard green ones to keep them looking pristine throughout the holiday season.

1. Unboxing and Shaping with Care

When you first bring your flocked tree home, you'll likely notice some "snow" shedding. This is perfectly normal! To minimize the mess and protect the delicate flocking:

• Open the box outdoors or place a large sheet/tree skirt underneath before you begin.
• Wear gloves to prevent the oils from your skin from discoloring the white flocking.
• Shape the branches gently. Avoid aggressive tugging, as this can cause large chunks of the artificial snow to fall off.

2. Strategic Lighting Choices

If your tree isn't pre-lit, be mindful of how you hang your lights. The flocking material is often flammable, and heat can cause the "snow" to yellow over time.
